Tick tock diner ny12/21/2023 ![]() The staff, which were present sometimes, lacked personality, presence and concern for anything, including simple hellos, room requests, spending most of their time on their own personal phones. This was all they had in the entire hotel. After 2 hours of waiting, going to down to the lobby, because we couldn't call from our room, they provided a stack of bath towels. Having a severe allergy to feather pillows, I usually get a synthetic/foam pillow from even the most basic of hotel, even hostel. BOUGHT OUR OWN PILLOW at a local department store. This is complete unbelievable and puts this hotel in violation of multiple laws and in provision of the basic customer service(s). ![]() Take an elevator or the stairs to access help from staff. We asked the desk about this and they said simply, Yes our phones don't work! Anyone staying in this hotel, with medical needs, in distress, in emergencies like power outages or fires are PUT IN DANGER without direct contact with hotel staff and/or other emergencies services. The following is our list of our experiences as they affected our stay and the overall safety (standards) of our stay. It is located in a popular and central area of Manhattan. The Hotel Hayden is never to be stayed at again for failing to meet even these basics and more. We are not picky or bougie and just expect a hotel to meet the basic needs and comfort of its guests. Our only gripe? The king bed was pushed up against a wall, meaning one of us had to climb out however, Priscilla checked us out and took a lot of time to help us book the perfect room for our next stay later this month (with room on either side of the bed!) - we are already excited to return!Ġ.6km from downtown My husband and I have stayed at many hotels in New York with little to no issue. The bed was super comfortable, towels and toiletries good, too. Plus, with a location walking distance to Moynihan and a zillion subway lines, it will always work for our purposes. Speaking of amenities - Made has great coffee, bars and restaurant on site. She said “You look like you’re checkin in!” From there, Stephanie and Lucas took very good care of us, talking us through the amenities and making sure we had a room that would suit our needs. The superior service started before we even walked through the door, with Stephanie spotting us on the street looking confused (the sign for the hotel is on the sidewalk, not on the front of the building, FYI). Business, Other Amenities Featured amenities include a 24-hour front desk, a safe deposit box at the front desk, and an elevator (lift).Ġ.74km from downtown We do a lot of quick trips into the city and usually just stay wherever we can get the best deal - but I think we may have found our NYC “home” at Made Hotel. Wrap up your day with a drink at the bar/lounge. Dining Enjoy a meal at the restaurant or snacks in the hotel's coffee shop/café. Amenities Take advantage of recreation opportunities such as a 24-hour fitness center, or other amenities including complimentary wireless Internet access and concierge services. Conveniences include safes and a turndown service, and housekeeping is provided daily. This hotel is 0.5 mi (0.8 km) from Penn Station and 0.8 mi (1.2 km) from New York Public Library. 0.68km from downtown Property Location Located in New York (Midtown), Moxy NYC Chelsea is within a 10-minute walk of Macy's and Empire State Building.
